Opposition MP Stuart Young is calling for consequences following an incident in Parliament last Friday, involving Leader of Government Business Barry Padarath.
In a social media post, he claimed that Minister Padarath attempted to photograph a member of the parliamentary staff, describing the action as an effort to intimidate the employee.
He condemned any attempt to threaten or intimidate parliamentary staff.
Mr Young said the matter should not be overshadowed by separate discussions about microphone use in the chamber, noting that microphones are routinely controlled when another member has the floor.
