Tobagoβs first Hindu temple is nearing completion, marking a major step for the islandβs growing Hindu community.
Situated in Signal Hill, construction of the temple began four years ago with Pundit Ramdath Mahase at the helm of the project.
Pulwaty Holass-Beepath, whose son Bisham currently heads the project, says the temple will address the spiritual needs of the Hindu community in Tobago and build social bridges in the wider community.
Pulwaty Holass-Beepath is also the sister of deceased local singer, Budram Holass
The temple, which is built on land donated by the Tobago House of Assembly, should be completed in August and opened by October 2026.
