The THA has reportedly been given until September 9th to respond to a pre-action protocol letter sent by the family of seven-year-old Angelica Jogie.
Little Angelica died after being hit by a jet ski at the Pigeon Point Heritage Park on April 8th.
The letter was delivered on July 15th, with the THA initially given 28 days to respond.
According to a Guardian Media report, THA asked for an extension on August 11th, and this has since been granted by the family’s attorneys.
They warn however that legal action will follow if the September 9th deadline passes without a resolution.
The jet ski operator, 33-year-old Ashworth Burnett from Canaan, is currently facing manslaughter charges in relation to the incident.
