Matthews, Pooran pick up honours at CWI/WIPA Awards Gala

Hayley Matthews and Nicholas Pooran were among the winners at the recent CWI/WIPA Awards Gala.

Held on Sunday in Barbados, the event saw Matthews walk away with two honours: Women’s T20 Player of the Year and Women’s ODI Player of the Year.

Pooran was named Regional T20 Player of the Year.

Test Player of the Year went to Shamar Joseph, Men’s ODI Player of the Year was won by Shai Hope and Men’s T20 Player of the Year was awarded to Alzarri Joseph.
