59 households in Sangre Grande have received more than $650,000 in disaster assistance and home repair grants.
The Ministry of the People says 45 Disaster General Assistance Grants were issued, valued at $363,000, while 14 Home Repair Grants totalled $28,000, benefiting 178 people.
The distribution marked the 36th Disaster General Assistance and Home Repair Grant programme by the Ministry of the People.
Minister Vandana Mohit said the grants continue to give families the opportunity to rebuild with confidence.
