President Christine Kangaloo has told the diplomatic community that Trinidad and Tobago is committed to international partnerships, upholding that βdialogue is always better than disputation.β
Speaking at an Annual Head of Mission Dinner at Presidents House recently, President Kangaloo also affirmed that βcooperation is always better than conflictβ and βrespect is always better than regret.β
She thanked the 31 members of the Diplomatic Corps at the dinner for their efforts in βbreaching divides,β βpromoting consensus,β and in βcreating connections among the countries.β
Venezuela ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago, Alvaro Enrique Sanchez Cordero, conveyed the anguish of the diplomatic community over the devastation, loss of life, and displacement caused by Hurricane Melissa in the Caribbean.
The Annual Heads of Missions Dinner took place at Presidentβs House on 5 November at Presidentβs House.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sean Sobers, was among the invited guests at the event.
