The Prime Minister has issued a stern warning to Caribbean Airlines to fix its operations.

Mrs Kamla Persad Bissessar claimed none of CALโ€™s existing routes are profitable and gave the airlineโ€™s management two years to turn things around or face consequences.

She also disclosed that despite having 86 employees in its Finance Department, $60 million was allegedly spent on external audits.

She added that โ€œfailing state enterprises will not continue to receive bailouts from the governmentโ€, signalling a tougher stance on underperforming state enterprises and the misuse of public funds.
