Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar met with a high-level United States delegation today, for talks aimed at strengthening the longstanding relationship between both countries.
In a statement following the meeting, the Prime Minister said the discussions reaffirmed their strong and enduring partnership, with a focus on advancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including investment, economic development and regional collaboration.
Among those in attendance were: Barbara Feinstein – Deputy Assistant Secretary for Caribbean Affairs and Haiti, and Philip Kern – Chargé d’Affaires at the US Embassy.
