Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has been declared Persona Grata in Venezuela, following talks with Venezuela’s President Delcy Rodríguez.
This comes after a meeting earlier today, between both leaders at Venezuela’s UN mission in New York, on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly.
Both leaders described the talks as the start of a new era in bilateral relations and agreed to strengthen cooperation in several areas, including trade, energy, disaster management, and agriculture.
They also agreed to official visits to Caracas and Port of Spain to maintain high-level consultations.
