The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association has not yet decided on a new nickname for the national menโ€™s football team.

A Newsday report said TTFAโ€™s first vice-president Colin Murray dismissed media reports claiming otherwise, saying the executive has not met to finalize a name.

The team, widely known as the “Soca Warriors” since 2006, is still in the midst of a legal dispute over the nameโ€™s trademark.

Mr Murray said, with the World Cup qualifiers ongoing, the focus is on performance and any rebranding decision will come after the campaign ends.

On July 29th, the TTFA held a public fan vote on social media, to choose the new name from a shortlist of 12 selections.
