The Justice Ministry has officially launched a new training programme, aimed at reducing case backlogs and enhancing access to a more efficient and timely justice system.
The Intensive Defence Optimisation Training and Train the Trainer Programme was launched today at the Radisson Hotel, with a focus on improving legal advocacy and trial readiness.
Led by the Public Defender’s Department under the Legal Aid and Advisory Authority, the initiative is being carried out in partnership with the UNDP Trinidad and Tobago and the European Union.
Chief Justice Ronnie Boodoosingh was among those attending the launch.
