Police believe robbery may have been the motive behind the killing of retirees Bernard Mahabir and Kenneth Gill, whose burnt bodies were found in the trunk of a car in Valencia on Monday.
Investigators say the lifelong friends were last seen leaving a bar in Lopinot on Sunday evening after liming together.
Police suspect they were targeted after Gill was seen spending money.
His bank card was later used to withdraw four thousand five hundred dollars from ATMs in Sangre Grande and Arima before their bodies were discovered in his burnt-out Nissan Tiida.
