Nestlé has informed Agriculture Minister Ravi Ratiram that it plans to restructure its local portfolio, as part of its global business strategy.
This comes with a particular focus on its dairy and juice operations in Trinidad and Tobago.
The update came during a meeting at the Ministry’s head office, with senior Nestlé executives and government officials.
The company has given assurances that the aim is to preserve jobs and maintain factory operations during the transition.
Discussions also focused on strengthening collaboration in the dairy sector, including support for training programmes and future investment opportunities.
Both sides also agreed to a joint visit to Nestlé’s model farm in Turure.
