Maintenance efforts were recently executed at Chacachacare Island.
On April 17th, crews from the Mechanical Services Division and the Maritime Services Division, accompanied by the T&T Coast Guard, visited for roadway and lighthouse maintenance works.
Arrangements have since been made for the installation of a replacement bulb in the lighthouse to support safe navigation.
Other activities included the clearing of overgrown vegetation and garbage removal, both of which had become major obstructions along the roadway.
The Ministry is advising visitors to take their garbage with them and dispose of it properly.
