Steps are being taken to accelerate the digital transformation of T&T’s land related systems and services.
Yesterday, the Ministry of Land & Legal Affairs signed an MoU with the UN Development Programme for a multi-year project entitled “Digital Transformation of Land-Related Services”.
Under the project, the Ministry will partner with the UNDP to launch a single digital portal so the public and businesses can easily handle land matters centrally.
Old systems and processes will also be upgraded, core Land Registry services will be moved online.
Alongside these new digital tools, the Ministry says the team will map existing state land information, improve how government departments share and exchange records, and provide staff with the practical training and day-to-day operational support needed to keep the system optimized for continued service delivery.
