Trinidad and Tobago left-arm spinner Khary Pierre was snapped up by the Guyana Amazon Warriors for the 2026 Caribbean Premier League.
With Gudakesh Motie drafted by the Barbados Tridents, Pierre was signed to buttress the Warriors’ spin attack, which includes Veerasammy Permaul.
Pierre impressed this week with five wickets against Barbados Pride in the West Indies Championship playoff to lead Trinidad and Tobago to the final against the Guyana Harpy Eagles.
Shimron Hetmyer, Romario Shepherd and Shai Hope were drafted by the Amazon Warriors with 2025 CPL Breakout Player, Quentin Sampson, retained.
Guyana batsmen Matthew Nandu and Jonathan Van Lange, who scored centuries against West Indies Academy in the West Indies Championship this week, were also named in the Amazon Warriors squad.
