Iran’s parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has accused the United States of endangering shipping and energy security in the Strait of Hormuz.
In a post on X, Ghalibaf said recent U.S. actions, including what he described as ceasefire violations and a blockade, have put the strategic waterway at risk.
The comments follow the launch of “Project Freedom” by Donald Trump earlier this week.
Ghalibaf warned that Iran considers the situation unacceptable, raising concerns of possible escalation in the region.
