Police are investigating an armed robbery aboard a cargo vessel on Sunday night.
A report by the Trinidad Express says around 10:30pm, a group of about 12 men boarded the Sea Elizabeth II, which was docked along the Port of Spain waterfront.
Armed with guns, cutlasses and axes, they proceeded to rob the captain and two crew members of their cell-phones,jewellery, a GPS system, a 100-pound oxygen tank, a 100-pound gas tank, an inflatable dinghy and a small engine.
The suspects then escaped on a pirogue.
According to the report, the stolen dinghy was returned around 5am on Monday, with several of the missing items inside.
