While 1,050 students were suspended between September and December 2025, there were no expulsions during that time.
This information came in the Senate today from Education Minister Dr. Michael Dowlath, who emphasised a zero tolerance for school violence.
He said efforts are also continuing to ensure such students receive support.
There are also additional support systems for more serious cases.
