The T&T Defence Force has reiterated that it does not condone any behaviour that violates the laws of the country and remains committed to discipline and public safety.
This follows a clarification from the Defence Force that Sterlyn Figaro is no longer a serving member of the organization.
In a statement, it noted that he was discharged from T&T Regiment in April 2021.
The statement comes after media reports referred to him as a soldier following his conviction for kidnapping and sexually assaulting two boys, aged 12 and 14.
