Two political analysts say the United National Congress Government would win another general election if one were held today.
The Trinidad Express reported that political analysts Professor Hamid Ghany and Dr. Maukesh Basdeo say Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has shown strong and decisive leadership in her first year in office.
They pointed to firm governance, crime-fighting measures, and economic direction as key strengths.
However, both analysts say crime and economic recovery remain the Government’s biggest ongoing challenges.
