Eight persons were arrested during Operation R.E.S.O.L.U.T.E. Shield, which saw coordinated intelligence-led exercises in Chaguanas, Port of Spain and Tobago.
Between noon and 4:30pm yesterday, officers went to a business along the Main Road in Chaguanas, where a 31-year-old man was held in connection with ongoing investigations.
They then went to Soogrim Trace, Orange Valley, where a 25-year-old man was arrested in relation to a report of a stolen cellphone.
In another exercise between 5am and 11am on Sunday, officers targeted persons believed to be involved in a series of larceny offences, including the theft of AC units and vehicle break-ins.
Two persons were arrested.
Meanwhile, around 12:35am today, officers in Tobago were on patrol in Signal Hill with members of the Defence Force when they intercepted a vehicle with four men.
They were reportedly in possession of two high powered rifles and were taken into custody.
