Three men have been held after a failed sausage heist.
Around 10am yesterday, a person claiming to be a supermarket employee placed an order for 161 cases of Chicken Franks valued at $41,000.
Around noon, a flatbed truck came to the compound, collected the items and left.
Company officials then contacted the supermarket which the man claimed to represent, however the supermarket denied placing any order.
After a report was made, a joint operation was launched resulting in the arrest of three suspects, ages 20, 24 and 31.
The stolen goods were recovered and returned to the company.
