2 acting Judges appointed to the Court of Appeal

Instruments of appointment have been presented Justice Carol Gobin and Justice Joan Charles, to serve as Acting Judges of the Court of Appeal.

Both are the two most senior judges of the High Court.

The appointments were made by President Christine Kangaloo, on the advice of the Judicial and Legal Service Commission.

The JLSC is in the process of filling fill vacancies in the Court of Appeal and Justices Gobin and Charles have agreed to assist in its work while this continues.

Both judges have given many years of dedicated service on the High Court bench.

They were appointed Puisne Judges of the Supreme Court of Trinidad and Tobago in 2004.
