$2.7 million presented to Children’s Authority

The Children’s Authority has nearly $2.7 million for its continued operations and the provision of critical child care and protection services.

The disbursement came from the Ministry of the People today.

$1,033,986 will go towards Foster Care payments for July and August 2026, while $1,632,022.85 will be used for statutory payments, including P.A.Y.E. and Group Health for July 2026.

In July 2026, the Authority received two significant financial interventions amounting to about $54 million.

The first involved the settlement of $36,039,734.51 in recently audited outstanding payments owed by the Authority, including payments for security services, works at the National Care and Empowerment Centre and janitorial services.

The second involved the regularisation of $17,881,782.43 in audited unremitted outstanding statutory obligations.
