Randy Ramcharan

The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association has offered its condolences on the passing of the former professional footballer Randy Ramcharan.

The former Caledonia AIA and Docโ€™s Khewalas player collapsed and died during the final of the Edinburgh 500 Masters Football Tournament on Saturday.

The TTFA said Ramcharan was a gifted midfielder and was one of the finest players to represent St Augustine Secondary.

“His passion for the game remained evident throughout his life, as he continued to be actively involved in football with the St Augustine Old Boys,” the TTFA stated.

“The circumstances surrounding his passing have left the football community shocked and saddened. Randy, age 45, passed away while among teammates and friends, participating in the sport he loved dearly.”

TTFA President Kieron Edwards offered condolences to the family and friends of Ramcharan, who also played for Harlem Strikers in Central Zone football.
