The University of the West Indies has appointed seven new professors across its Mona and St Augustine campuses.
The appointments took effect on June 10th.
The new professors include five from the St Augustine Campus and two from the Mona Campus in Jamaica.
The new professors include five from the St Augustine Campus:
• Professor Kenneth Sterling Charles in haematology and blood transfusion
• Professor Ravi Maharaj in oncological surgery
• Professor Shamin Renwick in information literacy and management
• Professor Nicole Roberts in Hispanic studies
• Professor Chandrashekhar Unakal in medical microbiology.
Meanwhile, the other two from the Mona Campus are:
- Professor Nekeisha Spencer in economics and the environment
- Professor Novie Younger-Coleman in biostatistics
