Motorists are being advised of temporary traffic restrictions around the Queen’s Park Savannah, for rehearsals ahead of the 64th Independence Day celebrations.
The restrictions will take effect tomorrow, Tuesday, August 25th and Friday, August 28th, between 9:15 and 11:30AM.
Drivers are asked to use alternative routes and follow traffic signs and directions from police officers.
The main restrictions around the Queen’s Park Savannah for the Independence Day parade rehearsals include:
- No parking on Queen’s Park East, Chancery Lane, Keate Street, Frederick Street, Dere Street, and Victoria Avenue during those hours.
- No vehicular traffic on sections of Queen’s Park East, Keate Street, Frederick Street and Albion Street during the rehearsal period.
