Homeland Security Minister Roger Alexander says tentative date for the opening of the new joint police-army posts is expected after a meeting on Thursday.
He told 103.1FM News today that work is continuing to ensure they are ready for occupation, with the Chief of Defence Staff and Commissioner of Police overseeing preparations.
Asked about the locations, Minister Alexander says they were selected based on the security needs of the surrounding areas, despite some being close to existing police stations.
