Trade Minister Satyakama Maharaj says the strengthening of T&T’s non-energy sector is now essential to build a more resilient and diversified economy.
Minister Maharaj said the focus is on improving investment, exports, tourism, and making it easier to do business through stronger public and private sector coordination.
During the Ministry’s one-year-review this morning, he noted the impact of this transformation for the economy.
Mr Maharaj also noted the US Government’s US$500 million investment in a new embassy, which he said reflects growing international confidence in Trinidad and Tobago.
