WASA says ongoing dry conditions are affecting water production at the North Oropouche Water Treatment Plant, resulting in supply disruptions across several north-east communities.

The Authority says a full return to normal service depends on consistent rainfall and is urging customers to conserve water.

Output has dropped from 20 to 16 million gallons per day, impacting areas including Arouca, Arima, Maloney, Sangre Grande and Cumuto.

WASA has reassured that distribution teams are rotating supplies to minimise disruption, while efforts continue to manage the reduced output.
