A 41-year-old Tobago man has been held after police seized a quantity of narcotics, scales, a gun and other items.
Between 6am and 1pm today, officers went an empty lot of land at Feeder Road in Canaan, where they saw and searched a dilapidated shed.
They found a grey plastic and metal firearm loaded with four rounds of ammunition, along with a magazine containing eight rounds of ammunition.
There were also pink and grey plastic packets, each containing 200 grams of cannabis, three digital scales, a vacuum sealer and wrapping paper.
The suspect was subsequently arrested.
