Police are probing a series of serious crimes across Trinidad and Tobago.

Eleven people are under preventative detention orders following the theft of firearms from the San Fernando Municipal Police Station, uncovered after the murder of Corporal Anuska Eversley.

Constable Jivan Cooper and two others have been charged with her killing.

The orders were signed by Homeland Security Minister Roger Alexander.

In Arouca, Israel Ramsahai was found dead with multiple chop wounds behind his home on Monday.

Meanwhile, Tobago police believe the shooting death of craftsman Sean Parisienne was a contract killing.

Three suspects are in custody as investigations continue.
