The People’s National Movement has accused San Fernando East MP, Brian Manning, of choosing not to “honour the procedures initiated” in the wake of a rift within the Constituency Executive.
Mr Manning previously raised concerns about the Executive’s Chairman and several members have reportedly resigned in recent days.
Last week, the party issued a statement saying a team had been put together for an inquiry and called on those involved to “avoid public ventilation”.
Today, the PNM issued a statement saying Mr Manning’s recent statements were “inaccurate and unfairly cast aspersions on the Party, members of the Constituency that he represents and the Leadership of the PNM.”
It maintains that such conduct is unacceptable and promised to address the statements in a media conference at Balisier House this afternoon.
