Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has arrived in New York to lead T&T’s delegation at the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
She is accompanied by Foreign Affairs Minister Sean Sobers and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister Nicholas Morris.
The delegation is expected to participate in high-level multilateral discussions, bilateral meetings and global forums focused on climate resilience, sustainable development, regional security and international cooperation.
Mrs Persad-Bissessar is also expected to meet with Venezuela’s acting President, Delcy Rodríguez, on the sidelines of the General Assembly later this week.
Last week, the Prime Minister confirmed that the meeting had been finalized.
