500 vulnerable women and girls are set to benefit from menstrual health and personal care support through a Government grant to the “A Touch of Joy Foundation”.
On Saturday, Social Development Minister Vandana Mohit presented the one-off grant, valued at $36,400, to support the Foundation’s 12-month Fight for Her Dignity initiative.
The programme will provide menstrual hygiene and personal care kits, health education, wellness sessions and referrals to health and social support services.
The initiative is also expected to indirectly reach another 1500 people through public education and awareness activities
