More supermarkets have joined SEWA TT’s Venezuela Earthquake Relief Campaign.
Launched last week, the effort at this stage is focused on financial contributions.
Persons wishing to help can go to any of the partner supermarkets and inform the cashier that they would like to donate towards the “Venezuela Earthquake Relief” campaign.
Their contribution will be added to their bill.
SEWA TT says 100% of the funds collected will go towards procuring essential food supplies, hygiene items, basic medical supplies, emergency household necessities, and critical tools and equipment needed for relief and early recovery efforts.
It adds that by providing financial assistance instead of predetermined goods, it can respond more effectively to official needs assessments and reduce the risk of sending unsuitable or unnecessary items.
