The heat season will continue until the end of October 2026 and there is a reminder for persons to conserve water since below normal rainfall is expected for the remainder of the year.

In its Rainfall and Temperature Outlook for October to December 2026, the Met Service says moderate chances exist for below normal rainfall totals during that period.

Below normal means less than 75% of the average rainfall amounts are possible.

Climatologically, September and October are two warm to hot months of the heat season, which generally finishes at the end of October.

The TTMS however expects warm temperatures may continue in the first week of November, with both day and night temperatures expected to be above average for Trinidad and Tobago.
