The sale of State Game Licences for the upcoming hunting season begins today.
The hunting season officially runs from October 1stto February 28th, next year.
Each licence costs $100 per game species, with hunters allowed a maximum of three licences.
Hunters are being reminded that iguana hunting ends on December 31st, with hunting or possession prohibited during January, February and March.
Breaches can attract a $10,000 fine.
First-time hunters must present valid ID and proof of address while licence holders must also submit their mandatory data return forms by May 31st, 2027.
