Energy Minister Dr. Roodal Moonilal says reports suggesting the approval of $1,000 flights between Trinidad and Tobago are misleading.
One report said passengers could soon pay that for peak-period travel between both islands, as Government was moving ahead with a proposed plan to introduce unsubsidised flights.
Another report stated that Government was considering the addition of two unsubsidized flights, with regular subsidized flights to remain as usual.
Both reports mentioned Trade Minister Satyakama Maharaj.
In issuing a comment to state broadcaster TTT, Dr Moonilal said no decision has been discussed or taken by Cabinet.
He added that a headline referring to a $1,000 price tag was incorrect and misleading.
