Four men have been held in connection with the theft of electricity cables.
Last week, officers in Cumuto received two reports of larceny along the Elmina Clarke Highway, with the stolen cables valued at $186,000.
This led to a surveillance exercise on September 28th and 29th.
On the second day, they observed and intercepted a Black Nissan X Trail with four occupants along the Highway.
In the vehicle, they found tools, wire cutters, bolt cutters, hacksaw blades, pliers and knives.
The suspects are: a 25-year-old Manzanilla man, along with a 28-year-old, and two 29-year-old men, all from Sangre Grande.
