Assistant Commissioner of Police Curt Simon says 15 key State institutions have now been designated as no-protest zones under the Emergency Powers Prohibition of Public Protests and Demonstration Order 2026.
At a police briefing this afternoon, ACP Simon listed the locations where protests and demonstrations will be prohibited within a 500-metre radius.
ACP Simon said the measures have been implemented to protect public safety and secure critical public spaces.
They follow recent demonstrations protesting the decision to charge Kaia Sealy.
She was wounded during a police involved shooting in January that left her common-law husband, Joshua Samaroo, dead.
Arrests were made during yesterday’s protests.
