Following the official start of the 2026 Wet Season, the Works Ministry says its focus remains on flood mitigation works.
Minister Jearlean John told 103.1FM News this morning that a media event will be held next week to give a comprehensive look at the various projects.
She adds that work to prepare for the Wet Season began months ago and is continuing.
This morning, the Minister visited St. Joseph, Bamboo No. 3, San Juan, Laventille and Beetham, where de-silting projects are underway.
