Local Government Minister Khadijah Ameen is calling for compassion, sensitivity and responsibility, following an incident involving a UNC councilor.
This, as Councillor for Freeport/Chickland, Anil Baliram remains warded in critical condition at the San Fernando General Hospital.
In a statement, Minister Ameen urged the public to act responsibly on social media while authorities and medical professionals continue their work.
The Minister also emphasized the importance of empathy, support systems, and mental health awareness, reminding citizens that seeking help should never be viewed as weakness.
