The Ministry of Transport is preparing to roll out a new road safety campaign in the coming weeks, as part of wider efforts to improve safety on the nation’s roads.
Minister Eli Zakour says they are also working on plans to introduce a checkered band maxi taxi system, aimed at providing regulated public transportation to underserved rural communities.
He also revealed that discussions are ongoing with the Ministry of Education to integrate road safety education into the school curriculum, with the goal of teaching safe road habits from an early age.
