The Transport Ministry has extended condolences on the passing of Keone Brathwaite.
A Transport Officer, Mr Brathwaite was killed after the motorcycle he was riding hit a vehicle that was attempting to overtake a truck along the Cumuto Main Road.
In a statement, Transport Minister Eli Zakour paid tribute to his dedication, professionalism and commitment to the development and efficiency of the transport sector.
He added that Mr Brathwaite’s contribution to public service will be remembered and valued.
Following the accident, a decision was made to close the Guaico Licensing Office for the remainder of today.
Normal operations are expected to resume on Monday.
