The Tobago House of Assembly has until September 9th to reach a settlement with the family of seven-year-old Angelica Jogie, or face legal action over her death.

The little girl died following a jet-ski collision at Pigeon Point Heritage Park in April.

According to the T&T Express, the family’s attorneys have given the THA an additional month to respond to their pre-action letter, in hopes of reaching an amicable settlement.

Freedom Law Chambers, which represents the family, says this is the final opportunity to resolve the matter without court proceedings.

The proposed claim also names Pigeon Point Heritage Park Limited and the jet-ski operator.
