Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar has assured that the bomb threats, reported across T&T on Wednesday, will be taken seriously, even if they may be acts of mischief.
In a Guardian Media report, she described the incidents as a “waste of national security resources” and urged citizens to remain calm and continue with their daily activities.
In her capacity as chair of the National Security Council, she said authorities could not afford to dismiss any type of threat.
The Prime Minister did not comment on whether the incidents could lead to another extension of the State of Emergency, which is due to expire on September 17th.
