Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar says workers have been placed at the centre of national development following the UNC Coalition Government’s election in April 2025.
Speaking in Parliament today, on the eve of Labour Day, she highlighted a series of measures under the Government’s Workers’ Agenda.
The Prime Minister said additional reforms are underway, including energy sector restructuring and further worker protections in the upcoming Budget.
She added that national progress is built on the contribution of working people and pledged continued support for workers’ rights and opportunities.
