The Trinidad and Tobago National Nursing Association has highlighted the growing pressures on nurses and midwives in this country.
President of the Association Idi Stuart spoke about the crucial role of nurses and midwives during the opening of an exhibition to to kick off National Nurses Week.
“Our nurses and midwives are navigating increasingly complex healthcare environments,” he said.
“We are facing workforce shortages, increased patient demands, and the lingering effects of global health crises.”
The theme of this year’s observance of National Nurses Week is “Empowered Nurses Save Lives.”
